Anne Arundel Eye Center was founded by ophthalmologist and Maryland top surgeon Dr. Samuel Boles who received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his post-doctoral training at Schepens Eye Research Institute, a Harvard University research lab, a Yale University affiliated Hospital in Bridgeport Connecticut, George Washington University for Ophthalmology Residency and the University of California, San Diego for Glaucoma Fellowship. He helped originate the Glaucoma Co-Management Roundtable to improve patient care through better communication and education. An active volunteer in the community offering periodic free screenings and specific community outreach programs, Dr. Boles is a former member of the Board of Directors at The Polakoff Foundation and the Maryland Society for Sight.
